The following DEP notices were published in the March 2 PA Bulletin related to oil and gas industry facilities.  Many of the notices offer the opportunity for public comments.

            Land Recycling/Brownfield Cleanups

-- Greylock Production, LLC - Wildcat Shale Gas Well Pad: DEP received a Final Report on remediation of soil contaminated with aluminum, barium, boron, chloride, iron, lithium, manganese, selenium, strontium, vanadium, and zinc to the Statewide Health Standards for the pad located in Whiteley Twp., Greene County.  (PA Bulletin, page 1124)

-- Chesapeake Appalachia, Inc. - Parys Water Impoundment: DEP approved a Final Report on remediation of soil contaminated with diesel fuel to Statewide Health Standards at the site located in Tuscarora Twp., Bradford County.   (PA Bulletin, page 1124)

-- Chesapeake Appalachia, Inc. Sensinger Shale Gas Well Pad: DEP approved a Final Report on remediation of soil contaminated with drilling wastewater to Statewide Health Standards at the site located in Franklin Twp., Bradford County. (PA Bulletin, page 1124)

-- Chesapeake Appalachia, Inc. Roeber Shale Gas Well Pad: DEP approved a Final Report on remediation of soil contaminated with drilling wastewater and petroleum products to Statewide Health Standards at the pad located in Wyalusing Twp., Bradford County.   (PA Bulletin, page 1125)

-- Chesapeake Appalachia LLC - Deremer Shale Gas Well Pad: DEP approved a Final Report on remediating soil contaminated with production wastewater to the Statewide Health Standard on the pad located in Tuscarora Twp., Bradford County. (PA Bulletin, page 1125)

-- EQT ARO, LLC - DCNR Shale Gas Well Pad: DEP approved a Final Report on remediation of soil contaminated by drilling wastewater to the Statewide Health and Background Standards on a pad located in McIntyre Twp., Lycoming County.  (PA Bulletin, page 1125)

-- EQT Corporation - Hoosker Shale Gas Well Pad: DEP approved a Final Report on remediation of soil contaminated with aluminum, barium, boron, chloride, lithium, manganese, selenium, strontium, vanadium, and zinc to the Statewide Health Standards at the pad located in Aleppo Twp., Greene County.  (PA Bulletin, page 1125)

-- Diversified Production, LLC - Latrobe Brewing Well Pad: DEP approved a Final Report on remediation of soil contaminated with aluminum, barium, boron, chloride, iron, lithium, manganese, selenium, strontium, vanadium, and zinc to Statewide Health Standards at the pad located in Derry Twp., Westmoreland County. -- CNX Gas Company, LLC - GH58 Shale Gas Well Pad: DEP approved a Final Report on remediation of soil contaminated with aluminum, barium, boron, iron, lithium, manganese, selenium, strontium, vanadium, and zinc to Statewide Health Standards at the pad located in Center Twp., Greene County.  (PA Bulletin, page 1125)

-- EQT Corporation - Rush Run Road Incident: DEP sent a technical deficiency letter on the  Remedial Investigation Report/ Cleanup Plan for remediation of soil contaminated with chloride to Statewide Health Standards at the location in Center Twp., Greene County. (PA Bulletin, page 1125)

            2024 Act 2 Oil & Gas Facility Pollution Cleanups--

So far in 2024, DEP received or acted on 66 Act 2 Land Recycling notices related to 66 oil and gas facility site cleanups.

            Residual Waste Permit

-- Highland Field Services, LLC - Seven Mile Minerals: DEP invites comments on a residual waste permit to replace a General Waste Permit WMGR123 to store and treat oil and gas wastewater located in Sergeant Twp., McKean County. Comments due in 60 days.  (PA Bulletin, page 1098)

-- Kelly Run Sanitation, Inc - Kelley Run Landfill Radiation Protection Plan: DEP invites comments on “minor modifications’ to the Radiation Plan for the facility located in Forward Twp., Allegheny County.  (PA Bulletin, page 1098)

-- Monroe Energy LLC - Trainer Refinery: DEP invites comments on the renewal of an existing individual NPDES stormwater permit impacting the Delaware River, Stoney Creek and Marcus Hook Creek located in Trainer Borough, Delaware County.  (PA Bulletin, page 1081)
