DEP To Hold April 23 Hearing On Jessop Steel Air Quality Permit For Washington County Facility

The Department of Environmental Protection published notice in the March 23 PA Bulletin announcing it will hold a hearing April 23 on a proposed modification of the Title V Air Quality Permit for the Jessop Steel LLC plant in Canton Twp., Washington County.  (PA Bulletin, page 1592)

The proposed changes incorporate RACT III plan requirements for the facility.

The hearing will be held at DEP’s Southwest Regional Office, 400 Waterfront Drive in Pittsburgh starting at 9:30 a.m.

The last day to pre-register to speak at the hearing will be April 16, 2024. If DEP does not receive any pre-registered speakers by this date, the hearing will be canceled.
