The Delaware County Office of Sustainability will hold the 3rd Annual Delaware County Sustainability Conference on May 30 at Widener University from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. This year’s conference will continue to expand on these topics, focusing on Sustainability in Action: equipping participants with the tools they need to take action within their communities. Speakers will present on topics of climate resiliency, natural resources, energy and efficiencies, transportation, zero waste, and health and wellness. The event will bring together approximately 400 concerned citizens, experts, everyday sustainability heroes, scientists, community members, government officials, advocates, and, for the first time, high school students for an exciting day of networking, information sharing, and collaboration. In addition to offering exciting Keynote and Plenary presentations and networking with exhibitors, the 2024 Conference will also incorporate break-out sessions for the first time! Break-out sessions will incorporate tracks for high school students, individuals, businesses, non-profits/organizations, and Environmental Advisory Councils/Municipalities allowing for deeper dives in content, increased interactivity among participants, and customizable schedules to ensure participants are gaining experience on topics relevant to their everyday lives.
