Interfaith Partners For Chesapeake Bay Host May 2 Webinar: How To Get Your Green Projects Funded

The Interfaith Partners For The Chesapeake Bay will hold a May 2 webinar on How To Get Your Green Projects Funded starting at 7:00 p.m.

You'll hear from local organizations and one of our congregations on how to successfully apply for a grant. Perfect for those looking to start the process and what to expect.

Speakers will also discuss some of the types of funding currently available range from community partnerships through greening projects, environmental enhancement, and education for congregations and greater community.

The speakers include--

-- Katie Little: A water resources engineer at Straughan Environmental, where she works on a variety of projects including erosion and sediment control, green stormwater infrastructure, drainage systems, and flood mitigation. Prior to coming to Straughan, Katie lived in Detroit and worked at St. Suzanne Cody Rouge Community Resource Center as their Green Programs Coordinator. In that role, she worked with community partners to install two rain gardens at St. Suzanne and two at Christ the King Catholic Church. Katie is from New Jersey and lives in Baltimore.

-- Ayanna Miranda: A strong supporter of IPC's work having previously served on our board. She has also served on the Advisory Board of the Baltimore Food and Faith Project at the John Hopkins Center for a Livable Future. She is a Regulatory and Compliance Engineer for the Maryland Department of the Environment. She also is a member of the Islamic Society of Baltimore green team.

-- Dylan Laconich: Longtime Maryland resident, Dylan Laconich has a passion for addressing climate change through sustainable environmental policy and fostering community partnerships. He has an academic background in City/Urban, Community, and Regional Planning, as well he is knowledgeable on stormwater management best practices. He has dedicated countless hours to volunteering at a range of environmental and natural resource organizations, demonstrating his passion for conservation through hands-on efforts. He currently serves as a Sustainability Specialist for the City of Salisbury, MD.
