PA Environmental Educators Host PA Environmental Justice & Education Summit May 13

The PA Association of Environmental Educators will offer a free half-day Environmental Justice and Education professional development summit on the afternoon of May 13 at Penn State Shaver’s Creek Environmental Center from Noon to 4:00 p.m. Both in-person and virtual options are available. The goals are to give state and regional leaders and experts in the field of ‘people and the environment’ an opportunity to connect with educational leaders in Pennsylvania about these topics and effective education about them, as well as highlighting programs like Green Schools and similar initiatives, and offer a networking opportunity. The in-person availability of this event is limited and anyone is welcome to join virtually. ACT 48 is available! Speakers will include-- -- PA DEP Office of Environmental Justice -- EarthForce Environmental Action Civics -- PA Environmental Literacy Network (updates regarding STEELS Standards/Green Schools/Careers) -- Environmental Education Alliance of Georgia (EEAG) (about their work with environmental justice and curriculum) Click Here to register.
