Ban Road Dumping Of Oil & Gas Wastewater: House Bill 2384 (Vitali-D-Delaware) banning road dumping oil and gas wastewater was amended and reported out of the House Environmental Resources and Energy Committee and referred to the House Rules Committee as all bills are this time of year.   Read more here.

Banning PFAS ‘Forever Chemicals’ In Consumer Products: House Bill 2238 (Scott-D- Montgomery) banning certain common consumer products from containing PFAS ‘forever chemicals’ was reported out of the House Environmental Resources and Energy Committee and  referred to the House Rules Committee as all bills are this time of year.  Read more here.

PA Energy Authority Changes: House Bill 2338 (Fiedler (D-Philadelphia) updating the duties and powers of the PA Energy Development Authority to use billions of federal climate and clean energy dollars to incentivize investments in Pennsylvania was amended and unanimously reported out of the House Consumer Protection, Technology and Utilities Committee and referred to the House Rules Committee as all bills are this time of year.

Pollinator Week: House Resolution 400 (Matzie-D-Beaver) designating the week of June 17-23 Pollinator Week in Pennsylvania (sponsor summary) was adopted by the House 200 to 1 (Rep. Wendy Fink-R-York voted against).

Senate

Geospatial Board Reauthorization: Senate Bill 1138 (Culver-R-Columbia) reauthorization of State Geospatial Coordinating Board was reported out of the Senate Appropriations, amended on Third Consideration and passed by the Senate.  The bill now goes to the House for action.
