DEP Hearing, Special Comment Period Notices For Projects In Jefferson (Solar), Lehigh (Warehouse), Lycoming (Gas Pipeline) and York (Air Permit) Counties

The Department of Environmental Project published these notices of public hearings and a special comment period in the June 22 PA Bulletin--

Jefferson County

DEP announced it has tentatively made a decision to deny an Individual Stormwater Permit for the 814 acre Walden Solar PA Jefferson LLC project located in Pine Creek and Warsaw Township, Jefferson County and will accept comments on the tentative decision until July 22.   (PA Bulletin, page 3580)

Lehigh County

DEP will hold a July 23 hearing on an Individual Stormwater Permit for a Core5 warehouse project located in Lowhill Township, Lehigh County impacting the Little Lehigh Creek (High Quality) and Exceptional Value wetlands.  (PA Bulletin, page 3579)

            The hearing will be held at the Germansville Volunteer fire Company, 6011 Memorial road, Bermansville from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Lycoming County

DEP will hold a July 2 virtual public hearing starting at 6:00 p.m. on a PA General Energy project to construct a 12-inch natural gas and two 8-inch water pipelines through Cummings and McHenry Townships in Lycoming County.  [Permit: E4129223-006]

            The project would build the pipelines within a 30-foot wide permanent right-of-way and a temporary right-of-way that varies in width.  (PA Bulletin, page 3580)   Read more here.

DEP will hold a July 31 hearing on a Title V RACT 3 Air Quality Permit for the York Casket Company facility located in Manchester Township, York County.  (PA Bulletin, page 3548)

            The hearing will be held at DEP’s Southcentral Regional Office, 909 Elmerton Ave. in Harrisburg at 1:00 p.m.   Public comments are due July 22.
