Susquehanna River Basin Commission Holds Aug. 1 Hearing On Water Withdrawal Requests For Amazon Data Center, Luzerne County; 8 Shale Gas Development, Gas Power Plant Withdrawals

The Susquehanna River Basin Commission published notice in the July 20 PA Bulletin announcing an August 1 hearing on water withdrawal requests, including for the proposed Amazon Data Center in Luzerne County, seven shale gas development and a UGI power plant.  Read more here.

The projects are scheduled for action at the Commission's September 12 business meeting.

The Commission strongly encourages those members of the public wishing to provide oral comments to pre-register with the Commission by e-mailing Jason Oyler at joyler@srbc.gov  before the hearing date.

Instructions on how to submit comments are in the formal hearing notice published in the July 20 PA Bulletin.

The hearing will be held at the Commission offices at 4423 North Front Street in Harrisburg starting at 6:30 p.m. Access to the hearing by means of telephone will begin at 6:15 p.m.
