Manada Conservancy Hosts Aug. 20 Backyard Birds For Children; Aug. 22 Summer Native Plant Sale In Dauphin County

Dauphin County-based Manada Conservancy will host two free events that are open to the public

Aug. 20 Backyard Birds For Children

This free program is for kids grades K to 5 and will be held at the Hershey Public Library, 701 Cocoa Avenue starting at 11:00 a.m.

Students will learn about the birds they see and hear in their backyards during this program presented by naturalists from Lancaster County Parks & Recreation.

This event is co-sponsored by the Friends of Hershey Public Library.

Aug. 22 Summer Native Plant Sale

The Summer Native Plant Sale will be held at the East Hanover township Nature Park from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. at 328 N. Crawford Road in Granville.

There will also be a raffle to benefit the Conservancy.
