Aug. 23 In-Person Managing Invasive Plants Full-Day Penn State Extension Workshop In State College

The Penn State Extension will host a full-day Managing Invasive Plants Workshop in State College on August 23 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at The Arboretum at Penn State.

Join us for a comprehensive workshop tailored to equip landowners and professionals with the skills to identify and treat invasive plants in natural areas and rights-of-way.

Gain practical knowledge and experience through demonstrations designed to enhance your expertise in invasive plant management.

The morning session features in-depth presentations on plant identification, species-specific control techniques, equipment calibration, and proper chemical handling and mixing.

In the afternoon, you'll get hands-on practice, applying herbicides to various invasive species under expert supervision.

This workshop will be held outdoors, so participants should be prepared to be on their feet for most of the day. Restrooms will be available nearby, and lunch will be provided.
