Hearings

-- The Department of Environmental Protection announced it will hold an August 26 hearing on the mining and NPDES water permits for the proposed new Maggie Lynn underground limestone mine in Deemston Borough, Washington County.  Read more here.

-- The Public Utility Commission published notice in the August 3 PA Bulletin of a September 19 telephonic pre-hearing conference on the proposed East Germantown-Germantown electric transmission line in Mount Joy, Germany and Union Townships, Adams County.

-- The Office of the State Fire Commissioner published notice in the August 3 PA Bulletin announcing it is accepting applications for the Fire Company and Emergency Medical Service Grants.  Deadline October 20.

-- The PA Emergency Management Agency published notice in the August 3 PA Bulletin announcing the availability of updated Guidelines for the State Disaster Recovery Assistance Program.

-- East Dunkard Water Authority [PA American Water]- Wastewater Plant: DEP invites comments on the renewal of the NPDES Water Quality Permit impacting the Monongahela River located in Dunkard Twp., Greene County.  (PA Bulletin, page 4500)

-- Allegheny Energy Supply Company, LLC - Mitchell Sludge Sedimentation Pond Dam: DEP issued a Dam Safety Permit covering the installation of a new gravity pipeline and other changes at the facility located in Union Twp., Washington County. (PA Bulletin, page 4546)

-- Rosebud Mining Company - Wetland Mitigation Project: DEP invites comments on a Chapter 105 permit for a mitigation project related to the Lady Jane Coal Processing Plant located in Huston Twp., Clearfield County. (PA Bulletin, page 4548)

--Berks County Municipal Solid Waste Management Plan: DEP approved the Act 101 county waste plan on July 22, 2024.   (PA Bulletin, page 4548)
