US DOT Now Accepting Grant Applications For Wildlife Crossings Pilot Program

The US Department of Transportation is now accepting applications for the Wildlife Crossings Pilot Grant Program.  The deadline is September 4.

The goal of the program is to reduce wildlife vehicle collisions while improving habitat connectivity for terrestrial and aquatic species.

The WCPP provides funding for construction and non-construction projects.

Eligible applicants include units of local government, regional transportation authorities, public authorities with a transportation function and other groups.

Funding will support construction and non-construction projects.

An application period will also open on May 1, 2025 and close August 1, 2025.
