The Penn State Extension will host a September 10 webinar on Proper Native Tree Planting For Long-Term Success from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.

The success of newly planted trees in the landscape depends not only on proper planting techniques but also on site selection and follow-up care.

Join the Master Watershed Steward program and extension educators to learn how to choose the best planting locations for your trees and shrubs.

This includes understanding microsite conditions and the size of your planting area to ensure successful growth.

The webinar will discuss various types of tree plantings, with a focus on containerized trees and the species featured in the 2024 Master Watershed Steward Native Tree and Shrub Sale.

Participants who purchase a tree from the sale will receive a $5 coupon code for free access to the webinar.
