Schuylkill Action Network Hosts Sept. 24 Southeast PA Water Utility Forum At Albright College, Berks County

The Schuylkill Action Network will host the Southeast PA Water Utility Forum on September 24 at Albright College in Reading from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

This full-day event will gather industry leaders to discuss critical topics in water management, including community outreach, technical assistance, climate adaptation, and effective strategies for securing project funding.

The agenda includes--

-- Case Study in Community Outreach & Engagement: Jennifer Leister, Jason DiPietro, Upper Montgomery Joint Authority

-- DEP Wastewater Technical Assistance Program, Erick Ammon, DEP Bureau of Clean Water

-- Adapting Water Resources and Infrastructure to Climate Change, Strategies from the Philadelphia Water Department

-- Panel Discussion on Getting the Money: Successfully Navigating the PennVEST Application Process

So far, the Network has helped permanently protect 17.5 percent of the watershed, invested $14 million in abandoned mine drainage treatment projects and leveraged $9.4 million in restoration projects.
