Highlights of the environmental and energy notices in the August 24 PA Bulletin--

-- PA Oil & Gas Industrial Facilities: Permit Notices, Opportunities To Comment - August 24 [PaEN]

-- The Department of Environmental Protection published notices in the August 24 PA Bulletin it received an application from Energy Transfer Marketing & Terminals LP to renew the Title V Air Quality Operating Permit for the Marcus Hook Terminal facility located in Marcus Hook Borough, Delaware County.             The notices also said this application is designated an Opt-In permit subject to enhanced public participation under DEP’s Environmental Justice Policy.

            DEP also published notice in the same PA Bulletin inviting comments on an Individual Stormwater Permit for the Mariner East Ethane Expansion & Chilling Project at the same facility. (PA Bulletin, page 5393)

            No mention of the Environmental Justice Policy related to this application.  Read more here.

-- The Susquehanna River Basin Commission published notice in the August 24 PA Bulletin the Executive Director gave his approval to or renewed 33 general water use permits in June for individual shale gas well drilling pads in Bradford, Cameron, Clinton, Lycoming, McKean, Sullivan, Susquehanna, Tioga counties.   This brings the total general water permits approved by the SRBC in 2024 to 188.  Read more here.

-- The Susquehanna River Basin Commission published notice in the August 24 PA Bulletin announcing its September 12 to consider water withdrawal requests-- including eight shale gas development and a gas power plant-- the FY 2026 budget and procurement regulations.  Read more here.

-- The Department of Environmental Protection published notice in the August 24 PA Bulletin inviting comments on a federal consistency determination under the Coastal Zone Management Act for the Philadelphia Water Department’s Neill Drive Pumping Station Stream and Infrastructure Protection Project. 

-- The Department of Environmental Protection published notice in the August 24 PA Bulletin announcing changes to the list of companies certified to perform radon-related activities in Pennsylvania.  (PA Bulletin, page 5439)

-- The Department of Environmental Protection published notice in the August 24 PA Bulletin announcing that Teclast is prohibited from selling its products in Pennsylvania as a result of its violation of the state electronics waste recycling law.  (PA Bulletin, page 5440Read more here.

-- The Department of Environmental Protection published notice in the August 24 PA Bulletin announcing the award of an Act 101 Municipal Waste Planning Grant to Lawrence County.

Permits

-- The Department of Environmental Protection published notice in the August 24 PA Bulletin announcing it had issued a Chapter 105 permit to the Evergreen Farms At Sterling LLC for an 800,000 square foot warehouse project impacting the West Branch Wallenpaupack Creek (High Quality) located in Sterling Twp., Wayne County.  (PA Bulletin, page 5435)

-- The Department of Environmental Protection published notice in the August 24 PA Bulletin announcing it had issued a Chapter 105 permit to Tri-State River Products, Inc. for the commercial dredging of sand and gravel within specific areas of the Ohio River located in Ambridge Borough, Conway, Monaca, Freedom, Beaver, South Heights, and Vanport Boroughs; Center, Hopewell, and Potter Townships; and Aliquippa City, Beaver County.
