The Center for Coalfield Justice will host an October 16 in-person program in Waynesburg, Greene County to help the public understand how to protect public health and resources from shale gas development.
The featured speaker will be Aaron Makatura, Project Coordinator at the Environmental Health Project, who recently spoke about the lack of progress the state Department of Health is making in implementing recommendations based on the 2023 University of Pittsburgh health studies of shale gas development. The program will be held at the Corner Cupboard Food Bank, 881 Rolling Meadows Road, Waynesburg starting at 6:30 p.m.
