PA Oil & Gas Industrial Facilities: Permit Notices, Opportunities To Comment - October 5

The following notices were published in the October 5 PA Bulletin related to oil and gas industry facilities. Many of the notices offer the opportunity for public comments.

-- CNX Midstream Operating Company, LLC - 2 Pipelines: 13-Mile Long 24-Inch Natural Gas, 3.9-Mile Long 20-Inch Water Pipeline [Slickville Trunkline Pipelines]: DEP issued a Chapter 105 permit covering this pipeline project through Bell, Loyalhanna and Salem Townships, Westmoreland County. -- CNX Midstream Operating Company - 2 Pipelines: 13-Mile Long 24-Inch Natural Gas, 3.9-Mile Long 20-Inch Water Pipeline [Slickville Trunkline Pipelines]: DEP issued a Chapter 102 permit impacting Beaver Run, Wolford Run, Beaver Run (High Quality), and Porters Run (High Quality) located in Bell, Loyalhanna and Salem Townships, Westmoreland County. -- The Susquehanna River Basin Commission published notice in the October 5 PA Bulletin it will hold a hearing October 30 on a proposed 2025 Fee Schedule and water withdrawal requests, including four supporting shale gas development in Bradford, Susquehanna and Wyoming counties. Read more here.

--- Coterra Energy, Inc. - J.Blaisure Shale Gas Well Pad: DEP received a Final Report on remediation of soil contaminated to meet the Statewide Health Standards at the pad located in Jessup Twp., Susquehanna County. (PA Bulletin, page 6324)

-- Seneca Resources Company, LLC - Watkins 820 Shale Gas Well Pad: DEP received a Final Report on remediation of soil contaminated with production wastewater and oil-based drilling mud to meet the Statewide Health Standard at the pad located in Chatham Twp., Tioga County. (PA Bulletin, page 6324)

-- Consol Energy - Conventional Well 1462: DEP received a Final Report on remediation of soil contaminated with organic compounds related to crude oil to meet the Statewide Health Standards at the well located in Morris Twp., Greene County. (PA Bulletin, page 6324)

--Lucknow-Highspire Terminals - Fullerton Distribution Terminal: DEP approved a Final Report on remediation of soil and groundwater contaminated with petroleum to meet Statewide Health and Site-Specific Standards at the site located in Whitehall Twp., Lehigh County. (PA Bulletin, page 6325)

-- Chesapeake Appalachia LLC - Milochik Shale Gas Well Pad: DEP approved a Final Report on remediation of soil contaminated with production wastewater to meet the Statewide Health Standards at the site located in Auburn Twp., Susquehanna County. (PA Bulletin, page 6325)

-- Diversified Production LLC - Loyalhanna #2 Well: DEP approved a Final Report on remediation of soil contaminated with production wastewater-related compounds to meet the Statewide Health Standards at the site located in Loyalhanna Twp., Westmoreland County. (PA Bulletin, page 6325)

So far in 2024, DEP received or acted on 215 Act 2 Land Recycling notices related to oil and gas facility site cleanups.
