Take a Walk with Watershed Stewards on the Paxtang Parkway in Dauphin County on November 10 from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. and learn something new about the watershed landscape you live in!
Scott Shepler, Restoration Program Manager at the Capital Area Greenbelt Association (CAGA) and board member, along with the Master Watershed Stewards will lead a walk on the Paxtang Parkway.
Topics include a discussion of impaired streams from a historical perspective and the benefits of the stream restoration techniques used at Parkway Creek, a tributary of Spring Creek West along the Capital Area Greenbelt.
A ninety-minute walk through the Paxtang Parkway will offer an opportunity to explore the area’s natural features and watershed landscape.
