House/Senate Bills Moving

House

Reauthorizing PA One Call: Senate Bill 1237 (Baker-R-Luzerne) reauthorizing the PA One Call underground utility safety program [that excludes almost all conventional oil and gas pipelines] was reported from the House Appropriations Committee and passed by the House 196-6.  The bill was then concurred in by the Senate and now goes to the Governor for his action.

Food Processing Waste Land Disposal: House Bill 2393 (Friel-D-Chester) setting standards for the storage or land application of food processing residual waste on farms was reported out of the House Appropriations Committee [House Summary & Fiscal Note] and passed by the House 188 to 14.  The bill now goes to the Senate for action.

Food Processing Waste Broker/Hauler Certification: House Bill 2594 (Friel-D-Chester) establishing a food processing waste broker and hauler certification program was reported out of the House Appropriations Committee [House Summary & Fiscal Note] and passed by the House 165 to 37.  The bill now goes to the Senate for action.

Bonding Retail Energy Suppliers: House Bill 1578 (Mullins-D-Lackawanna) establishing a training and bonding program for competitive natural gas and electric suppliers who engage in person-to-person sales was reported from the House Appropriations Committee [House Summary & Fiscal Note] and passed by the House 116 to 86.  The bill now goes to the Senate for action.

Landslide Insurance: House Bill 589 (Kinkead-D-Allegheny) establishing a landslide insurance program was removed from the Table and is now on the House Calendar for action. 

Tourism Improvement Districts: House Bill 1891 (Cepeda-Freytiz-D-Berks) establishing a tourism improvement districts was reported out of the House Appropriations Committee [House Summary & Fiscal Note] and is now on the House Calendar for action.

Senate 

Fish & Boat Commission Fees: House Bill 1409 (Kulik-D-Allegheny) reauthorizing authority for Fish and Boat Commission to set its own fees was reported out of the Senate Appropriations Committee [Senate Fiscal Note & Summary] and passed by the Senate 47 to 3 without changes.  The bill now goes to the Governor for his action.
