Highlights of the environmental and energy notices in the October 26 PA Bulletin--

-- PA Oil & Gas Industrial Facilities: Permit Notices, Opportunities To Comment - October 26 [PaEN]

-- The Susquehanna River Basin Commission published notice in the October 26 PA Bulletin the Executive Director gave his approval to or renewed 20 general water use permits in September for individual shale gas well drilling pads in Bradford, Clearfield, Lycoming, Sullivan, and Susquehanna counties.  This brings the total general water permits approved by the SRBC in 2024 to 232.  Read more here.

-- DEP published notices in the October 26 PA Bulletin inviting comments on proposed Total Maximum Daily Nutrient Load Plans for Muddy Run in Union County (PA Bulletin, page 6799) and Deer Creek in York County (PA Bulletin, page 6800).  Read more here.

-- The Independent Regulatory Review Commission published notice in the October 26 PA Bulletin it issued comments on a proposed Environmental Quality Board regulation setting revised cleanup standards for lead and other contaminants under the Land Recycling Program (IRRC #3409).  (PA Bulletin, page 6836)

     -- Notice of a general permit for Caernarvon Township Authority in Berks County covering well 8.

-- The Game Commission published notice in the October 26 PA Bulletin adding the Northern Goshawk and the American Goshawk to the state list of endangered birds.

November 6-- Delaware River Basin Commission virtual hearing on water withdrawal requests and other projects.  1:30 p.m. (formal notice)

Grants

-- DEP published notice in the October 26 PA Bulletin it is now accepting applications for Food Recovery Infrastructure Grants until February 28.

-- DEP published notice in the October 26 PA Bulletin it awarded a $27,997 Household Hazardous Waste Education Grant to Berks County.

-- On October 22, the Department of Environmental Protection announced it is now accepting Qualified Professional bids through the Pennsylvania eMarketplace for reviewers of four DEP permit applications under the new SPEED [Streamlining Permits for Economic Expansion And Development] Permit Review ProgramRead more here.

-- Lake Ariel Hwy Solar LLC - 4.4 MW Solar Energy Facility: DEP Invites comments on an Individual NPDES Stormwater Permit for the facility to be located in Salem Twp., Wayne County. [Note Exceptional Value Wetlands conditions.]  (PA Bulletin, page 6743)

-- Mostoller Landfill: DEP invites comments on renewal of a solid waste permit for the landfill located in Somerset and Brothersvalley Townships, Somerset County.  (PA Bulletin, page 6747)

-- Imperial Landfill: DEP invites comments on renewal of a solid waste permit for the landfill located in Findlay Twp., Allegheny County. (PA Bulletin, page 6747)

-- Rolling Hills Landfill: DEP issued a renewal of the Waste Permit until January 6, 2035 for the facility located in Earl Township, Berks County.  (PA Bulletin, page 6789)

-- RMC Group Inc.: DEP invites comments on its proposed denial of an Individual NPDES Stormwater Permit for a proposed concrete plant, septage hauling service, roll-off container rental service and portable toilet rental service located in Smith Township, Washington County.  Comments are due in 30 days.  (PA Bulletin, page 6800)
