The Penn State Extension is seeking individuals and organizations to present at the 2025 Dive Deeper Summit for Water Educators, scheduled for September 25 in Harrisburg. Proposals are due March 5.

Dive Deeper is an every-other-year conference for anyone who teaches about water, whether in the classroom, on the lake shore, in the woods, or at the city playground.

This full day conference features hands-on workshops, networking, educational exhibits, and great guest speakers – and it could also feature you!

There are numerous time slots available for 45-50 minute concurrent session presentations at the summit.

The focus of this conference is to strengthen the capacity of educators to teach youth about water, water ecosystems, aquatic life, and related topics.

All water-related proposals will be considered, but here are some ideas to get you thinking--

-- Water education innovations for youth audiences (and adult general public audiences)

-- New curriculum or teaching tools for water education (including technology, art, and other media, and more)

-- Teaching about water to diverse audiences, disabled audiences, and underrepresented audiences or in underserved communities

-- New techniques for water quality monitoring

-- Current Issues/Topics (climate change and resiliency, microplastics, environmental justice, invasive species, emerging pollutants, land use, drinking water protection, fresh and marine watersheds of all sizes)

-- STEM Education with a water focus

-- Addressing academic standards and environmental literacy with water education (NGSS, Common Core, and local or state specific)
