Seasonal Help Wanted: Fish & Boat Commission Fisheries Biologist Aide

The Fish and Boat Commission's Lake Habitat Section is seeking qualified individuals to fill a Seasonal Fisheries Biologist Aide position(s) based in Bellefonte, Centre County.

As an FBA, you will get an inside look at the conservation efforts being conducted by the PFBC during fish habitat projects on the streams and lakes of Pennsylvania.

You will have a chance to go on the road with Habitat Management staff to complete fish habitat improvement projects across the Commonwealth and get hands-on experience with implementing conservation projects.

Applicants must have a degree or be pursuing a degree in fisheries, biology, environmental resource management, ecology, or a related field.

Preference is given to applicants who also have experience with boating/trailering, power tools, chainsaws, fishing, and being a positive team member.

Previous FBAs have used their experience at PFBC to acquire full-time positions and enter into graduate school in the fisheries biology field.

The term of the position is March 3 to October 24, 2025.  Pay is $17/hour.
