DEP has been providing or offering replacement water to the residents in seven homes near the site since October 14 when they were found to have well water contaminated with PFAS ‘forever chemicals’ above 4 parts per trillion PFOA.

Bottled water delivery will continue until DEP implements a final response to the contamination, according to the notice..

Investigation of the Middle Spring Creek HSCA Site will continue to determine the sources and extent of the contamination and if further response actions are necessary.

The hearing will be held at the Shippensburg Borough Office Building, 111 N. Fayette Street in Shippensburg starting at 6:00 p.m.

Any person wishing to present comments must register with John Repetz a minimum of 24 hours in advance of the hearing by telephone at (717) 705-4904, by email to: jrepetz@pa.gov or in writing at 909 Elmerton Avenue, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
