The Penn State Extension is partnering with DCNR to host a February 14 Meaningful Watershed Education Workshop at Greenwood Furnace State Park in Huntingdon County from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
This winter-themed workshop is designed for educators interested in incorporating hands-on water science and stewardship activities into their curriculum.
During the workshop, participants will explore a variety of engaging, real-world field experiences, including a winter salt watch activity and a macroinvertebrate leaf pack study.
These interactive activities will provide educators with valuable tools to teach students about water quality, environmental stewardship, and the importance of protecting local watersheds.
All attendees will receive a MWEE Educational Guide and supplemental materials to enhance their classroom teaching.
Additionally, coffee, tea, and snacks will be provided throughout the day to keep participants energized and engaged.
Registration is required by February 7, so be sure to sign up early to secure your spot.
