March 11 Webinar On Lawn Care For Clean Water, Penn State Extension

The Penn State Extension will host a March 11 webinar on Residential Stormwater Solutions - Lawn Care for Clean Water from Noon to 1:00 p.m.

Managing stormwater runoff is a critical responsibility for anyone who cares for property, particularly in Pennsylvania’s diverse landscapes.

Unlike forests and meadows, traditional lawns offer limited environmental benefits and can contribute to runoff and pollution.

However, by adopting water-friendly lawn care strategies, homeowners can minimize these impacts and support healthier watersheds.

This session will explore practical approaches such as downsizing lawns, fine-tuning fertilization, mastering mowing techniques, preventing soil compaction, and implementing effective pest management.

Join us to learn how small changes in lawn care can make a big difference in reducing stormwater runoff and protecting local water quality.
