March 26 Lunch & Learn Meeting On Project To Demonstrate Scale Rare Earth, Critical Minerals Recovery In Clearfield County

Grow Rural PA and the North Central PA Regional Planning and Development Commission will host a March 26 lunch and learn about Project NuREEsource Demonstration Scale Rare Earth Metal and Critical Minerals recovery facility in Clearfield County. The facility will process clay wastes associated with the mining of coal that is sourced from Pennsylvanian Mine Sites. The project is currently in FEL-3 stage of development, funded by a $5.3M grant from the U.S. Department of Energy and $1.3M in cost share from local mining operators and project partners.
