PA Firefly Festival Hosts Firefly Naturalist Guide Training June 21 At Kellettville Firefly Farm In Forest County

The PA Firefly Festival is hosting a Firefly Naturalist Guide Training event that will take place on Saturday, June 21 at the Kellettville Firefly Farm in Forest County from 3:00 to 11:00 p.m.

This onsite training is for master naturalists, environmental educators, private fishing/hunting, or tour guides from the PA Wilds area who are interested in developing their own firefly program or providing Private Firefly Tours to the general public.

The registration fee of $225 per person includes all firefly identification materials, conservation protocols, and guided observations of multiple species of fireflies in the area. 

Additionally, registered participants will be eligible to join a virtual pre-training webinar on the Firefly Atlas program with Xerces Society biologist Richard Joyce will take place on Wednesday, June 4 at 7 p.m.

The class size is limited to the first 10 to register before April 15. Limited overnight accommodations or camping at Kellettville Firefly Farm are available for an extra fee.

The evening meal & snacks on Saturday are included, and a continental breakfast on Sunday morning for those who stay overnight.
