PECO WIND Ranked In Top 10 By U.S. Department of Energy

The U.S. Department of Energy's National Renewable Energy Laboratory this week announced that PECO WIND is once again one of the nation's top ten green power programs for enrollment. The announcement is part of the DOE's annual ranking of leading utility green power programs. "There are more than 600 utilities in the Unites States offering their customers electricity generated from wind or solar energy, and being named to the top ten is a great honor," said Denis O'Brien, president of PECO. "PECO WIND is not just the More than 34,000 customers have chosen to purchase PECO WIND, placing it fifth on the DOE's list, last year PECO WIND was ranked seventh. Since its launch in May 2004, PECO WIND has become the fastest growing green power program in the country.
