House Environmental Committee Meets on Brownfields, Mineral Resources Bills

The House Environmental Resources and Energy Committee is scheduled to meet on April 17 to consider two environmental bills— · House Bill 297 (Yewcic-D-Cambria) which would create a right of first refusal for surface rights owners before the sale of mineral rights; and · House Bill 43 (Rubley-R-Chester) establishing the Uniform Covenants Act covering brownfield redevelopment. The Committee is chaired by Rep. Bud George (D-Clearfield) and Rep. Scott Hutchinson (R-Venango). |
