House Environmental Committee Moves Brownfield Covenants Bill

The House Environmental Resources and Energy Committee this week reported out House Bill 43 (Rubley-R-Chester) that establishes a uniform environmental covenant for brownfield sites.

The Committee held House Bill 297 (Yewcic-D-Cambria) which would create a right of first refusal for surface rights owners before the sale of mineral rights for more work.

The Committee is chaired by Rep. Bud George (D-Clearfield) and Rep. Scott Hutchinson (R-Venango).
