The May issue of Environmental Synopsis published by the Joint Air and Water Pollution Control and Conservation Committee features a summary of the presentation, an anti-litter and beautiful efforts by Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful.

Also featured in this month’s issue are: using coal combustion waste to reclaim abandoned mines, recycling in the airline industry, benefits of air pollution control strategies in transportation, carbon dioxide emission in the U.S. and the cost of cleaning up leaking underground storage tanks.

The Joint Committee is chaired by Rep. Scott Hutchinson (R-Venango) and Sen. Ray Musto (D-Luzerne) serves as vice chairman.
