The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, in partnership with the PA Recreation and Parks Society, has released a new publication, "Creating Sustainable Community Parks: A Guide to Improving Quality of Life by Protecting Natural Resources."

This guidebook provides over 70 pages of information for parks and communities to help them design, manage and maintain a park that promotes native plantings, uses environmentally-friendly maintenance practices, and created wildlife habitat.
