Ned Smith Center Presents “A Sense of Wonder” Based on the Life of Rachel Carson

The Ned Smith Center for Nature and Art is sponsoring a special live presentation of “A Sense of Wonder,” a play based on the life of Rachel Carson on March 8 at the C. Ted Lick Wildwood Conference Center at the Harrisburg Area Community College Campus in Harrisburg.

Nationally acclaimed actress Kaiulani Lee stars in this one woman show which has toured throughout the U.S.

Pennsylvania-born Rachel Carson is best known for her book Silent Spring, which drew attention to the impact DDT was having to bird populations, has often been called the founder of the modern environmental movement.

The event sponsor is the Bradenbaugh/Hottenstein Foundation. A reception will start at 6:30 p.m. and the play at 7:30 p.m..

For tickets and more information call 717-692-3699. Tickets are $27 in advance and for Ned Smith Center members and $30 the day of the event. Student tickets are $15.
