Applications Due for Innovative Renewable Energy, Energy Efficiency Grants

The Pennsylvania Energy Development Authority is now soliciting grant applications for innovative, advanced energy projects, demand side management projects and from businesses interested in locating advanced energy operations in the Commonwealth. Applications are due June 20 for the $11 million in funding available. (formal notice) Eligible projects include: solar energy, wind; low-impact hydropower, geothermal, biologically derived methane gas, including landfill gas, biomass, fuel cells, coal-mine methane, waste coal, integrated gasification combined cycle, demand management measures, including recycled energy and energy recovery, energy efficiency and load management; and clean, alternative fuels for transportation. Projects related to distributed generation for critical public infrastructure are particularly encouraged. Entities eligible to apply for grants include: corporations, partnerships, associations and other legal business entities; nonprofit corporations; More information will be posted on the PA Energy Development Authority webpage. |
