Pennsylvania Amphibians and Reptiles Teacher Workshop August 7-8

The Fish and Boat Commission and Stroud Water Research Center will be offering a two-day Pennsylvania Amphibians and Reptiles Workshop for teachers and other educators on August 7 and 8.

The workshop will take place from 9:00 - 3:00 on both days. The deadline to register is July 31.

Participants will receive the Pennsylvania Amphibians and Reptiles Curriculum Guide, Frog and Toad Calls of Pennsylvania CD, PA Amphibians & Reptiles reference book, and other workshop materials. The curriculum is suitable for grades K-12 and indoor or outdoor classrooms.

The PA Amphibians and Reptiles Curriculum covers awareness, identification, habitat, and responsible human action. Participants will also get an introduction to the biology, ecology and identification of PA's reptile and amphibian species.

Upon completion of the workshop, participants will be eligible to receive ten Act 48 hours. There is no fee for the workshop.
