PA Recycling Markets Center to Host Forum on Disposal Bans

The Pennsylvania Recycling Markets Center, in collaboration with the Joint Legislative Air and Water Pollution Control and Conservation Committee, will host an Economic Development Forum on August 7 in Harrisburg.

The forum will focus on the markets impact of disposal bans recently proposed by DEP as part of anticipated revisions to the Commonwealth’s Municipal and Residual Waste Regulations.

RMC Economic Development Forums are coordinated to strategically outreach to industry leaders, bridging the supply chain while identifying barriers and opportunities in the utilization of secondary commodities generated in Pennsylvania.

The RMC will facilitate interactive demand-side discussion regarding materials markets impacts of the proposed disposal bans, given the proposed bans may ultimately provide additional raw materials to Pennsylvania manufacturers through substitution of recycled materials for conventional feedstocks.

Anyone interested in attending should contact the RMC for details at 717-948-6660 or send email to: info@parmc.org .
