* Gov. Ridge To Receive Lifetime Achievement Award From PA Environmental Council

Tom Ridge, the 43rd governor of Pennsylvania and first-ever Secretary of Homeland Security, will be honored for his achievements as a champion of the environment by the Pennsylvania Environmental Council.

Senate Republicans released a General Fund spreadsheet this Tuesday showing the changes they made to the Governor's budget request.  Overall Senate Republicans initial budget package totals $27.65 billion, more than the Governor's $27.14 billion.

On April 24 the Foundation for Pennsylvania Watersheds’ Board of Advisors reviewed spring grant proposals; 16 grants were awarded totaling $185,000. The projects totaled more than $1.37 million in construction costs resulting in a leverage of seven dollars for every one dollar FPW invested.
