The Appalachian Regional Reforestation Initiative of the federal Office of Surface Miningis looking for suitable reforestation sites to use as part of its program. The Appalachian Reforestation Initiative is a coalition of citizen groups, the coal industry and government dedicated to restoring forests on coal mined lands in the Eastern United States. If you are aware of a suitable ARRI site, please contact the Pennsylvania Foundation for Watersheds, which is helping to locate project sites, by sending email to: projectwater@verizon.net.
