Lower Susquehanna River Cleanup Set For March 21
Got cabin fever? Want to get the kids and spouse out of the house? Help cleanup trash and floating debris in the woodland and wetlands of the Susquehanna River and learn what you can do to help protect our Earth. Fun for the whole family!
 
The Watershed Alliance of York will hold its Susquehanna River Spring Cleanup Gut Road on March 21 from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, in partnership with ‘Jst Fishin’ Guide Service, PPL Corp, Republic Services, Inc., and York Waste Disposal. Meet at the Gut Road boat launch area, near Saginaw, East Manchester Township.
 
All ages welcome, children and youth must be accompanied by parent or adult. Trash bags, work gloves and light refreshments provided. Dress for the weather, water-proof foot gear recommended. Come for the whole day, or just an hour or two. Rain or shine weather and river conditions permitting.
 
The Watershed Alliance of York is a coalition of stakeholders committed to encouraging watershed-based planning, restoration and protection in York County and beyond.
