The Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay is seeking nominations for its annual Frances H. Flanigan Environmental Leadership Award.

The deadline for nominations is June 1.

The award seeks to honor an individual who has demonstrated a long-standing commitment to the restoration and protection of the Chesapeake Bay lands and waters and whose work has had a meaningful and lasting impact on those efforts, and whose efforts have been consistent with the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay’s mission of fostering partnerships and building consensus to advance the cause of environmental stewardship in the watershed.

Nominees may be employees or volunteers who represent organizations, agencies, or businesses, but the individual will be recognized as the award recipient and not his/her organization.

The winner will be presented with a standing crystal triangle engraved with the recipient’s name at the Alliance’s annual gala, the Taste of the Chesapeake, being held on September 24 in Annapolis, MD.
