House Committees To Hold Informational Meeting On Small Stream Flooding April 4

On April 4 the House Environmental Resources and Energy & Finance Committees will hold an informational meeting on small stream flooding issues starting at 10:00 in Room 205 Ryan Building.
The purpose of the meeting will be to get perspectives on several issues: the impact of small stream may have in contributing to flooding conditions; possible improvements to stream maintenance programs to reduce flooding; and funding issues. Representatives of the Department of Environmental Protection, the PA Association of Township Supervisors and the PA Association of Conservation Districts will offer their perspectives.
Rep. Scott Hutchinson (R-Venango) serves as Majority Chair of the House Environmental Committee and Rep. Bud George (D-Clearfield) serves as Minority Chair.
Rep. Kerry Benninghoff (R-Centre) serves as Majority Chair of the House Finance Committee and Rep. Phyllis Mundy (D-Luzerne) serves as Minority Chair.
