Senate Environmental Committee To Consider Green Buildings, Biofuels, Other Bills

On April 2 the Senate Environmental Resources and Energy Committee is scheduled to consider legislation to require certain state buildings to meet green building standards, biofuels standards and enforcement legislation and other bills.
The legislation includes:
-- Senate Bill 1136 (Rafferty-R-Montgomery) requiring certain state buildings to comply with green building standards;
-- Senate Resolution 265 (Brubaker-R-Lancaster) urging Congress to support continued and increased importation of Canadian oil;
-- House Bill 807 (Sonny-R-Erie) further providing for standards for biodiesel fuel, enforcement and penalties; and
-- House Bill 2151 (Gabler-R-Clearfield) further providing for the snowmobile, ATV registration.
The meeting will be held in the Rules Room, Off the Floor.
Sen. Mary Jo White (R-Venango) serves as Majority Chair and Sen. John Yudichak (D-Luzerne) serves as Minority Chair.
