On the Senate, House Agenda

Senate and House have a variety of bills on their agendas for this week, in addition to the discussion of Growing Greener funding and the budget. Here’s a quick rundown-- In the Senate Senate Calendar: The Senate will start the week with these items of interest on the Calendar -- requiring multiple violations to be taken into consideration in renewing or expanding landfill permits (Senate Bill 197), making changes to definition of eligible entity in the Agricultural Security Law (Senate Bill 723), further authorizing local governments to preserve open space through the waiver of certain service fee (House Bill 87) and authorizing donations to watershed associations (House Bill 136, House Bill 266, and House Bill 267). In Committee: Senate Judiciary Committee to consider House Bill 86 (Steil-R-Bucks) authorizing hold harmless provisions for certain DCNR and Corps of Engineers projects. In the House House Calendar: On the House Calendar to begin the week is—legislation that would fund the Hazardous Sites Cleanup Program through general revenues (Senate Bill 149), and resolutions encouraging Congress to earmark more funds for state storage tank regulatory programs (House Resolution 326) and establishing a sewage management issues task force (House Resolution 88). In Committee: The Joint Legislative Air and Water Pollution Control and Conservation Committee will have a hearing on coal availability in Pennsylvania. |
