DEP Announces Chapter 110 Annual Water Reporting Reminder To Water Users

The Department of Environmental Protection Thursday issued a reminder to public water supplier and water users that water use reports are now due. 25 Pa. Code Chapter 110 requires water suppliers (which serve year-round at least 15 service connections or at least 25 residents) register water sources and submit annual water use reports. All water use reports submitted to DEP by public water suppliers were due March 31, 2013. 25 Pa. Code Chapter 110 also requires all hydropower facilities and any person whose total withdrawal from one or more points of withdrawal within a watershed operated as a system either concurrently or sequentially exceeds an average rate of 10,000 gallons per day (gpd) of water in any 30 day period and/or those persons who obtain their water through an interconnection with another person in an amount that exceeds an average rate of 100,000 gpd in any 30 day period must register water sources and submit annual water use reports. All water use reports submitted to DEP by those other than public water suppliers are due by June 30, 2013. These reports are to be submitted electronically. Online reporting is available.
