Delaware Highlands Conservancy Hosts 2 Moonlight Paddles On Lake Lacawac

Join the Delaware Highlands Conservancy and Lacawac Sanctuary for a Moonlight Paddle on Lake Lacawac, located at the Sanctuary in Lake Ariel, Wayne County.

You have two opportunities to participate: July 19 and August 23, from 7-10 p.m. These programs are free to the public, but space is very limited and reservations are required.

Rowboats and canoes, paddles, and life jackets will be provided. Only sanctuary boats are permitted on the lake due to the delicate balance of Lake Lacawac's ecosystem.

The 52-acre Lake Lacawac is a National Natural Landmark. As the southernmost glacial lake in the hemisphere, Lake Lacawac has been preserved in pristine condition and is totally free from development or encroachment. It is an ideal research facility—and a beautiful place to spend a few hours enjoying nature!

If you love the peace of boating on a lovely lake and are not afraid of paddling in the dark under a full moon, join the Conservancy for a rare opportunity to experience nature by moonlight.

Call Lacawac Sanctuary today to reserve your spot, 570-689-9494, or send email to joann@lacawac.org.
