House Majority Leader Mike Turzai (R-Allegheny) said he plans to bring a transportation funding proposal to the full House for a vote next week, but he’s not saying which one.

The House last acted on a transportation funding plan in June when the House Transportation Committee amended and reported out Senate Bill 1 (Rafferty-R-Montgomery), the Senate transportation funding plan, providing for $1.9 billion in additional highway, bridge and transit funding after fully implemented in five years. The bill has remained on the House Calendar awaiting a full House debate before it would be referred to the House Appropriations Committee.

Talks between the House, Senate and the Governor’s Office are expected to continue through the weekend to see if a compromise could be reached.

If a vote is not taken next week, it will be put off until the week of November 12, the next scheduled voting week.  There are 13 scheduled voting days left this year.
