Sewage Facilities and Land Use Focus of October Conference

A statewide conference entitled “Sewage Facilities and Land Use: Collaborating for a Sustainable Future” will be held on October 24 in Harrisburg.

The event will include two newly released studies on Pennsylvania sewer and land use policies by the National Research Council and by 10,000 Friends of Pennsylvania, and panels on investments, aging infrastructure, and multi-municipal cooperation.

Participants will have the opportunity to discuss these issues with expert panelists, and help identify state and local strategies to support sound land use, sustainable development, and economic efficiency in Pennsylvania.

The Conference is sponsored by 10,000 Friends of Pennsylvania, the Environmental Law Institute, and the Environment and Natural Resources Institute at Penn State University, and supported by the Heinz Endowments and the William Penn Foundation.
