The Department of Environmental Protection announced a “Pennsylvania’s Brownfields 2005 – Putting the Deal Together” Conference for September 28-29 in Harrisburg.

The deadline to register is September 16.

“Our Commonwealth already has a significant track record of making environmental protection work for businesses and employees, and Governor Rendell is working hard to put in place new approaches to hasten the redevelopment of abandoned industrial sites to rejuvenate our boroughs and cities,” said DEP Secretary Kathleen McGinty.

The two-day conference will provide current information on the state’s innovative brownfields program, facilitate networking among those interested in new opportunities, and stimulate interest in a new wave of redevelopment projects across Pennsylvania.
