Philadelphia Water Hosts Rain Check Workshops For Residents To Manage Stormwater

The Philadelphia Water Department Rain Check Program is holding a series of workshops for residents interested in participating in its program to help residents manage stormwater at their homes. The workshops will be held-- -- July 23: PA Horticultural Society Town Hall Meeting Room, 100 N. 20th St., 1st Floor at 11:00 a.m; -- July 25: Cambodian Assn. Of Greater Philadelphia, 2416-18 S. 7th St., 5:30 p.m; -- July 27: PA Horticultural Society Town Hall Meeting Room, 100 N. 20th St., 1st Floor at Noon; -- July 27: Globe Dye Works Building, 2101 Kinsey St., 5:30 p.m. -- July 28: PA Horticultural Society Town Hall Meeting Room, 100 N. 20th St., 1st Floor at 5:30 p.m; -- August 1: New Hope Temple Baptist Church, 5020 Pulaski Ave., at 6:00 p.m. Click Here for details on the workshops and to register. Rain Check supports Philadelphia’s Green City, Clean Waters Program which is working in neighborhoods across the City, adding green features to keep excess stormwater out of sewers. The program is funded by Philadelphia Water and managed by the PA Horticultural Society in partnership with the Philadelphia Sustainable Business Network.
