Webinar: Technical Resources For Sustainable Stormwater Mitigation Strategies Sept. 13
|
Join the Local Government Academy and the Sustainable Community Development Network on September 13 for the Technical Resources For Sustainable Stormwater Mitigation Strategies webinar from 1:00 to 2:15 p.m. Beth Dutton and Sara Rectenwald of Pittsburgh’s 3 Rivers Wet Weather organization will provide an overview of the many resources 3RWW has developed to help communities meet their regulatory MS4 Stormwater Pollution Prevention Program obligations and improve local water quality. 3RWW’s tools can assist in creating cost-effective and sustainable solutions to municipal wet weather problems, and help evaluate potential source reduction opportunities for reducing sewer overflow, including green infrastructure. As Deputy Director, Beth Dutton works to strengthen 3RWW’s role in helping municipalities address the impacts of sewage overflows and stormwater. She serves as a liaison between 3RWW and partner organizations engaged in stormwater management activities and coordinates the meetings and activities of the Green Infrastructure Network, which serves as a central collaborative for over 140 organizations, universities, businesses, and government partners in the Pittsburgh region. Sara Rectenwald, Program Coordinator for 3RWW, supports the development and implementation of the organization’s technical tools, resources and programs. She collaborates with various local organizations to gather content for and enhance the functionality of the Green Infrastructure Atlas, a map that shares data on regional green infrastructure projects.
